I can't believe it's the end of January already.  It's been a good month, but alas not quite as productive as I'd like on the art front.  I've been taking both a watercolor and a pastel class weekly and also took a mixed media class last week and have been enjoying every minute of it.  I also did a watercolor sketch every day for the first 20 days.  I'll post just 3 here:

As you can see - they are quite varied in style and subject matter.  I learned a great deal over the 20 days I did this daily, but I found that life got in the way and I just couldn't keep it up.

That doesn't mean I didn't paint, I just didn't do a watercolor sketch every day.  I did other things, including some acrylic abstract work, some mixed media and some pastel.  I'll post some of those soon.  meanwhile, you can check out my Facebook account where I have been posting 3 of my original works each day for the lat few days for a challenge from an artist friend to post 3 paintings each day for 5 days.  This is day 4 and I will post to Facebook after my pastel class, which I am leaving fro right now.
