Felt hat class

Today I attended a class on how to felt a hat using a resist.  I had a great time and met some wonderful woman.  The hat is not complete, but it is coming along fine.  I will work on it tomorrow and hopefully finish it.  Then I will share a picture, as usual.  The bet things about the class were the wonderful ladies I met and learning how to use a resist correctly.  I also learned some other general felting tips that should help me with my other felting.  I did finish a couple of pieces yesterday.  

This piece is wool felt cord, beaded with seed beads and wrapped with red wool yarn.  

This one is a bit different.  The "beard" is made of Alpaca wool.  My husband says my work is getting weirder.  I think that it is getting more unique and fun!
