Felted wool and free stitching leaf necklace

I've been really enjoying combining my love for sewing with my newer love for felting.  I'm a very tactile oriented person.  I love texture of all kinds and running fabrics through my hands.  Felting is a totally tactile thing and that makes me happy.  Free sewing is something I just discovered, thanks once again to my friend Julie who encouraged me to try it out.  I've sewn all my life, but never lowered the presser foot on the machine.  Well, now I have and I may never raise it again.  Ok - well that's an exageration, but I certainly love the free form sewing that I've been doing.  This necklace is the first necklace I've completed this way.  I have also done some cuffs this way and really enjoy the organic look it produces.
